Blockchain for a greener planet
Like lasers, blockchain started as a solution looking for a problem – and of course lasers are now ubiquitous (theodolites, DVD players, display pointers, scalpels, optical tweezers…).
Practical blockchain applications are emerging – for example, blockchain technologies will enable automated, secure micro-trading of energy generation and consumption.
What does it actually mean, though?
Blockchain means a greener planet!
That’s because the solar panels on my roof can automatically sell surplus energy to a remote consumer, and the transaction is validated and secured by blockchain.
Green lasers, anyone?
